Home Whitening
Home whitening allows you to whiten your teeth in your own home.
After a teeth cleaning and impression taking at the clinic, you will receive a mouthpiece and whitening gel to use at home. You will apply the gel into the mouthpiece and wear it on your teeth as instructed.
Treatment Process
Initial Consultation, Examination, and Cleaning

We will conduct an oral examination and cleaning to ensure your mouth is in optimal condition for whitening results.
If any teeth cleaning or dental treatment is needed, it will be performed first.
After that, our dental hygienist will discuss your desired tooth shade and perform PMTC (professional mechanical tooth cleaning) to prepare your teeth for whitening.
Impression Taking and Mouthpiece Creation

We will take intraoral photographs and impressions of your teeth before whitening to create a custom mouthpiece.
Receiving Your Mouthpiece and Whitening Kit

Once the mouthpiece is ready, you will receive it along with a home whitening gel kit. You will use these at home for about two weeks. (for 1-2 hours each day).
Check-Up After One Week

After about one week, you will return to the clinic to assess the progress of your whitening and ensure there are no issues with your teeth or gums. We will also take post-treatment photographs.
Precautions for Home Teeth Whitening
- If you have sensitive teeth or are prone to tooth sensitivity, you may not be eligible for whitening treatment.
- For 24 hours after the procedure, please avoid foods, beverages, and habits that can cause staining (such as coffee, tea, red wine, curry, and smoking).
- Wearing the whitening tray for extended periods, such as overnight, may lead to severe tooth sensitivity or the need for root canal treatment.
- Tooth sensitivity varies from person to person. If you experience significant sensitivity or if symptoms persist, stop using the kit immediately and consult us.
- Home teeth whitening is a dental treatment. After using the kit, please visit our clinic for a follow-up check with a dentist or dental hygienist.
Walking Bleach
What is “Walking Bleach” for Whitening Discolored Front Teeth?

- Had a root canal treatment due to a cavity.
- Experienced a hard impact to your front teeth in the past.
Such incidents can lead to nerve damage and cause one of your front teeth to discolor compared to the surrounding teeth.
If you are concerned about this, “Walking Bleach” might be a solution.
Steps of Walking Bleach
- We will first diagnose whether the discolored front tooth is suitable for walking bleach. (Check cavities, periodontal disease, and the thickness and shape of the tooth)
- If the diagnosis is favorable, we will explain the procedure in detail and obtain your consent before proceeding. (We will not start the treatment without your approval.)
- A small hole is made in the back of the discolored tooth, and a solution is applied in the hole.
- After about two weeks, we will assess the bleaching progress. (Depending on the results, additional visits may be necessary)
- The color may regress within about a year, so we recommend regular check-ups to maintain the results.
Who Should Consider Walking Bleach?

- Concerned about one discolored front tooth
- Have been told that the traditional whitening methods would not be work.
- Had a root canal treatment in the past and the front tooth is discoloring.
- Experienced a hard impact to your front teeth in the past.
- Had orthodontic treatment before (failure of orthodontic treatment)
When Walking Bleach is Not Suitable
- The front tooth is too thin or lacks sufficient thickness.
- There are issues with the shape of the front tooth.
- There are bite problems.
- The discoloration is due to factors other than nerve damage, such as tetracycline stains.
If walking bleach is deemed unsuitable, alternative treatments such as all-ceramic crowns or laminate veneers may be recommended.
If you are concerned about discoloration of your front teeth, please feel free to contact us for a consultation.
