Nitrous Oxide Sedation・Intravenous Sedation・Intramuscular Sedation
Our clinic offers pain-free treatment through three different sedation methods. If you are looking for pain-free dental care in the Akasaka area, please feel free to contact us for more information and consultations.

Nitrous Oxide Sedation

筋肉内鎮静法

Nitrous oxide sedation is one of the safest sedation methods with minimal side effects, making it a convenient choice.

Process of Nitrous Oxide Sedation

Before starting the treatment, you will lie down in the dental chair and wear a specialized mask. Nitrous oxide will be administered with oxygen, gradually calming your mind and guiding you into a deep state of relaxation.

  • A floating sensation and drowsiness
  • Feeling relaxed with reduced anxiety and tension
  • Sounds and conversations may seem distant

Dental treatment will be performed while you are in this state. After the procedure, you will rest for about 15 minutes with the mask removed until your awareness returns to normal.

Intramuscular Sedation

筋肉内鎮静法

With a duration of 1 to 1.5 hours, intramuscular sedation is suitable for general treatments and is particularly effective for patients with dental anxiety. It may not be suitable for those with a strong gag reflex.
We administer an intramuscular injection called Dormicum into your shoulder. Due to its short duration and the small amount of medication used, it is a safe and recommended option.

Process of Intramuscular Sedation

Before starting the treatment, you will lie down in the dental chair, and Dormicum will be injected into your shoulder muscle. The effect lasts about 1 hour, making it suitable for general dental procedures.
You will still be responsive to verbal cues, but remain in a drowsy, semi-sleep state for about an hour.
After the procedure, you will rest until the effects of Dormicum wear off, and return home once your awareness is fully restored.

Intravenous Sedation

静脈内鎮静法

Intravenous sedation is effective for long and complex procedures, such as implants. It is also suitable for patients with extreme dental anxiety or a strong gag reflex.
An experienced anesthesiologist will manage the depth of sedation, allowing you to undergo the procedure with peace of mind.

Process of Intravenous Sedation

Before the surgery, an anesthesiologist will administer the intravenous sedation. You will lie down in the dental chair, and the anesthesiologist will monitor your pulse, blood pressure, and blood oxygen levels while controlling the sedation. Throughout the procedure, both the sedation and overall health status will be carefully monitored to ensure a smooth operation.
The sedation will be adjusted to wear off as the surgery concludes. After the procedure, you will rest for about 30 minutes until your condition stabilizes before going home.

Cost

88,000 yen (including tax)

You are welcome to visit us to get a feel for the clinic and the doctors during your first visit. If you are not comfortable or have any reservations, there is no need to book a second appointment.
