When undergoing orthodontic treatment as an adult, we take care to ensure that the treatment does not interfere with your daily life. Changes in appearance can significantly impact your work and social interactions.
At our clinic, we can replace noticeable metal brackets to less noticeable clear brackets or mouthpiece aligners in orthodontic treatments.

Less Noticeable Braces

At our clinic, we use clear brackets as the standard option for less noticeable braces. You can choose between transparent plastic types and white ceramic types according to your preference.

If you are concerned about the visibility of metal brackets and wires during orthodontic treatment, we recommend considering clear brackets.

Partial Orthodontics (Aesthetic Orthodontics)

Partial orthodontics focuses on correcting only the areas of concern in your teeth alignment rather than a full-mouth correction. This method is not suitable for everyone, and we may need to discuss whether partial orthodontics is the best option based on your dental alignment and bite.

Partial orthodontics can be addressed with either traditional braces or mouthpiece aligners.

Clear Aligner Orthodontics
(Invisalign・AssoAligner etc)

Clear aligners, such as Invisalign, are a method of orthodontic treatment using transparent, inconspicuous aligners. They are designed to be minimally noticeable, and most people will not even realize you are wearing them unless they look closely.

Globally recognized and widely used, over 3.1 million people have undergone treatment with clear aligners (Invisalign) worldwide. This treatment involves changing to a new set of aligners every two weeks, gradually shifting your teeth by millimeters at a time, moving closer to your ideal alignment. Clear aligners (Invisalign) are private treatment and not covered by the insurance.

• Generally more expensive compared to traditional braces as they are custom-made
• May not be suitable for severe cases of dental misalignment

Custom-made clear aligners, including Invisalign, AssoAligner, and Clear Aligners, are classified as medical devices not approved under the Pharmaceutical and Medical Device Act. They are not covered under the Pharmaceutical Adverse Drug Reaction Relief System.

Choosing orthodontic treatment is a significant decision in life. The treatment can be costly and a long-term commitment taking anywhere from six months to over two years. Therefore, it is essential to entrust your treatment to an orthodontist who is skilled and experienced in orthodontics. At our clinic, orthodontic treatment is handled by specialist orthodontists.

矯正歯科治療のリスク・副作用など

• 矯正歯科治療は、ワイヤーやブラケット、マウスピースなどの矯正装置を歯に装着し、装置を交換・調整しながら歯牙の移動を促し、歯並びや咬み合わせを改善する治療方法です。
• 矯正歯科治療は自費診療となり健康保険対象外です。
• 矯正治療中は、歯ブラシが届きにくく、虫歯や歯周病（歯肉炎）のリスクが伴います。そのため、医院でのブラッシング指導、ご本人の毎日の歯ブラシをしっかり行っていただく必要があります。また虫歯の定期検診やフッ素塗布などを推奨しております。
• 装置装着後と通院における装置調整後は、歯の移動により1～3日ほど痛みを伴うことがあります。痛みの時間や感じ方には個人差があります。
• 矯正装置の装着・着脱動作中に痛みや咬合状態の変化による不快感・違和感を生じる場合があります。感じ方には個人差があります。
• 成人矯正では治療中に歯の移動に伴う歯茎退縮や歯根吸収が生じる場合があります。
• 歯の移動に伴い、装置から余分なワイヤーが出ることがあります。そのため内頬を傷つけることがまれにあります。その場合はワイヤーの調整やカットを随時行います。
• 極端に硬い食べ物などを召し上がる場合など、装置が外れたりすることがあります。装置への負担を軽減するため、極端に硬い食べ物は避けるようにしてください。
• 繊維質の食べ物は、装置にひっかかり飲み込みづらくなることがあります。
• 舌側矯正の場合、装置の装着直後は発音・滑舌に影響が出ることがあります（慣れることで徐々に改善されます）。
• 個人差によっては歯が後戻りをすることがあります（移動した歯は元の位置に戻ろうとします）そのため治療終了後も保定装置（リテーナー）を一定期間正しくつけることを忘れずにお願いします。
• マウスピース型カスタムメイド矯正歯科装置（インビザラインやアソアライナー、クリアアライナー等）では1日に20～22時間以上装着していないと治療計画通りに治らないことがあります。
• インビザラインやアソアライナー、クリアアライナー等のカスタムメイド矯正装置完成物は完成物薬機法対象外（薬機法未承認）の矯正歯科装置（医薬品）であり、承認医薬品を対象とする医薬品副作用被害救済制度の対象外となる場合があります。
