Implant Treatment Features at Our Clinic
Emphasis on Safety and Hygiene

Our clinic is equipped with dental X-rays as well as cutting-edge dental CT technology. Using advanced simulation software, we create precise surgical guides prior to procedures.
We prioritize patient safety by maintaining strict sterilization and hygiene standards. This allows us to provide high-quality treatment while ensuring the safety and peace of mind of our patients.
In-House Dental CT Scan

Our in-house Dental CT scan allows us to capture not only two-dimensional images but also detailed three-dimensional ones. Advanced surgical procedures like implant treatments require enhanced safety.
The CT scan provides detailed information about the jawbone, which cannot be easily seen on dental X-rays.
Since the number of dental clinics with Dental CT is still limited, many clinics refer patients to external facilities, such as university hospitals, for CT scans.
However, we have all the necessary equipment on-site, enabling us to offer comprehensive care under one roof.
Our Dental CT cone-beam/multislice technology facilitates quick imaging with thin slice widths of 0.1 to 0.2 mm, minimizing radiation exposure. By examining the thickness of the jawbone and the location of nerves, we can accurately place the ideal size implant in the correct direction. CT imaging is crucial for ensuring safety during implant procedures.
Pre-Surgical Simulation Software and Surgical Guides
Simulation Software “DTX Studio Implant”

This sophisticated software allows us to simulate implant placement in three dimensions on a computer screen. It enables us to determine the implant’s direction, depth, and size in advance.
In the past, treatment was often based solely on dental X-rays and the dentist’s experience and intuition. Today, the combination of CT imaging and this simulation software has significantly enhanced safety.
Accurate implant placement not only enhances safety but also contributes to the long-term stability and reliability of the implant.
Guided Surgery (Surgical Guides)

Based on data from the simulation software, we create a surgical guide that is placed in the patient’s mouth during the procedure. This guide, known as a surgical guide template, ensures that the implant is placed at the correct position with the planned depth and direction.
The surgical guide is used according to the specific case and the patient’s preferences, allowing us to perform implant surgeries with enhanced safety and accuracy.
Thorough Sterilization and Infection Prevention Before and During Surgery

Implant procedures are surgical treatments, so thorough infection control and hygiene are essential. Our doctors and staff wear sterilized, clean surgical attire and perform implant surgeries in a disinfected environment, comparable to that of medical surgeries.
One of the major causes of poor prognosis or failure in implant procedures is implant loss (failure of implant integration with the jawbone) due to infection at the implant site.
Infections can be caused by patient conditions or bacterial contamination of the wound.
To prevent this, we implement the following measures:
- Thorough sterilization of surgical instruments
- Clear distinction between clean and contaminated areas around the surgical unit
- Complete sterilization of disposable surgical attire, including gowns, hats, and gloves
- Disinfection of the surgical field and draping (covering the patient with sterilized cloth)
We adhere to strict hygiene practices to prevent infections, which is crucial for the success of implant treatments.
Surgical Procedures for Challenging Cases

Our advanced techniques, such as bone grafting, can address various challenging cases, including those with insufficient jawbone.
When there is inadequate bone volume or thickness, general dental clinics may decline implant treatments, deeming them impossible. However, we offer bone grafting procedures to regenerate bone thickness and height, making implant procedures feasible.
If you have been turned away by other clinics or told that your case is too difficult, please do not hesitate to contact us for a consultation.
We primarily use the following bone grafting techniques for challenging implant cases.
- Socket Preservation “Technique to preserve the alveolar ridge”
- GBR “Method for bone regeneration”
- Socket Lift “Procedure to lift the sinus floor (for cases with slight bone deficiency)”
- Sinus Lift “Procedure to lift the sinus floor (for cases with significant bone deficiency)”
- Edentulous Jaw Implants “Implant treatment for patients with no teeth”
Intravenous Sedation (Painless Implant Treatment)

We offer intravenous sedation, a relaxing anesthesia. During implant treatment, patients feel pleasantly drowsy and relaxed. Many patients are surprised to find the procedure over so quickly once they wake up from the sedation. This method is highly praised by our patients.
Under the supervision of specialized anesthesiologists, we monitor patients’ overall condition, including blood pressure, pulse, and oxygen saturation, ensuring they feel safe and relaxed during implant procedures.
If you are anxious about implant surgery or if the procedure may be lengthy (such as with multiple implants, bone grafting, or edentulous jaw implants), we recommend considering this option.
Dental clinics that focus on safety, pain management, challenging cases, and aesthetics are quite limited even in Tokyo. If you are looking for an implantologist in Tokyo or the Akasaka area, please feel free to contact us for a consultation.
Recovery from Peri-Implantitis

As implant treatments have become more common and the number of patients receiving implants has increased, there has been a rise in cases of an infection around the implant “peri-implantitis”, several years after the procedure.
Are you experiencing pain, bleeding, or pus around your implant? We are committed to the prevention, treatment, and examination of peri-implantitis. If you have any concerns or symptoms, please feel free to consult with us.
Our Commitment to Preserving Your Natural Teeth

We prioritize saving healthy teeth and consider implant treatment as a subsequent option. By providing tailored treatment plans based on each patient’s oral condition, we aim to achieve long-term oral health.
